2015 grand jeep cherokee heating isse

Asked by GuruXGYH4 Nov 29, 2018 at 07:18 PM about the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my 2015 jeep has been having issues with the heater. When I bought the car
the perfect setting for winter months was 72 degrees. However for the past 6
months I have been having issues where it blows cold air at 72, 73, and
fluctuates at 73 degrees. Just two weeks ago I had the thermostat replaced
and the coolant flushed at my jeep dealership. Everything was working find
up until today when it started blowing cold air once again.  Whats even more
frustrating is that it seems to only blow cold air when the car is actually in
motion. When the car is stationed it blows hot air just fine.  I am tired of going
back and forth with the dealership to not have this issue resolved.  Any ideas
or suggestions?

Yes they did. I am so frustrated because i keep searching online that this a common problem with no real solution. I have this feeling that when I take it back to the dealership they wont be able to "replicate" the problem

Is your heater core plugged up? Anyone reverse flush it? Common issue even on vehicles 4 years old like yours.

Any grinding of like plastic gears behind your dash? Control door actuators...

I had a problem last year like this and it turned out to be a fan motor that was not working correctly. The dealer hooked the car up to a computer and drove it around and said that the car was not throwing codes off for the problem. Since they put in new fan motor, car temperature is working fine
