No electrical power getting to the tow wiring hook up

Asked by Richielupo09 Jun 10, 2016 at 08:02 AM about the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I hook up a tow package and the wiring harness does not seem to be generating a power. The trailer lights are not working. I tested the harness feed from teh Jeep and I am not getting a power. Does it require additional fuses?

I have the same problem but I found that you have to run a ground wire from the jeep itself to the lights and it worked for me

Do you hook it to the ground wire on the harness or the ground wire on the tail light
