Will my struts shift

Asked by Mark Mar 06, 2021 at 07:49 PM about the 2015 Ford Mustang GT Premium Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2015 mustang gt BMR strut tower brace swap
requires all six upper strut bolts to be removed at
the same time and I want to know if this will
cause the struts to shift and take caster/camber
out of alignment or will they stay put for the 3 to 5
minutes it takes for the swap

I would say if the car is on the ground with the weight of the vehicle on the suspension you shouldn't have any issues. I read that some drivers had to lift the car off the ground to get access to install, and in that case, you will need an alignment. Removing the engine cover will help as it is tight under there. I also read that some had to enlarge one of the holes on the brace to get it to fit.
