What does the circle with line through it next to the digital mph on a Q5 2015 mean?

I suggest you read your owners manual. Clearly it has something to do with the start/stop system. It probably indicates that it is not active at the moment.

That simply means that the auto start/stop system is disabled. that system shuts off your engine when you stop your vehicle, but are not in park, such as at stop signs or traffic lights. That symbol means that your engine will NOT shut off upon coming to a stop.
