transmission fluid location

In the transmission itself. Are you asking how to access it to change it? Have the vehicle on a lift or jack stands and you can access the fill and drain plug underneath. It is best changed by a pro, due to making sure you use the correct fluid, at the correct tempurature and the correct amount back in via a hand pump.
Sorry, didn't realize this went thru.... it was incomplete. Thank you by the way.. My understanding is there is no access to "check" the trans or steering as they are sealed. Correct? thanks Jon G

That is correct Jon. Drain your transmission from the drain plug, and top up through the transmission cap(obviously take off the cap). To check the level make sure your car is on a level area, preferably on jack stands.. you then have to take off the front drivers wheel, and there is a level plug you need to remove, could be a bolt, or an Allen wrench/key plug that gets removed.. when fluid starts flowing out of this hole then it should be topped up enough. Alternative, the same amount of fluid that drains out when you drain your trans is what needs to be put back in.
