What will make my car alarm go off on my 2015 Ford Fusion?

I just got the car less than a week ago with less than 50 miles on it.. That wouldn't make much sense to me. It went off again today, though!

Is the alarm installed from the factory or was it an aftermarket alarm? If it's from the factory, call the dealership where you bought it. If it's aftermarket, contact the installer. I suspect it could be a grounding issue causing the alarm to go off, but that's just a hunch.

Is it parked where someone can bump it? Cats can jump on the car to set it off. Wind and earthquakes can be causes. Loud exhausts these days like the throaty glass packs and deep tuned exhausts driving by can set one off as well as a loud bassy stereo can set it off as well. You just need to investigate your surroundings where you park it and keep the key from going off like a cell phone doing a butt dial. I believe the remote in your pocket when you sit can set it off also from the house key hitting the button of the car alarm button when you shift or change positions. See if there can be a sensitivity issue where the installation people can turn it down a bit. And yes a low battery is always the first thing you check out before you check out the grounds and rip your dash apart.
