What should I do?

Asked by Cynthia Mar 12, 2018 at 11:53 PM about the 2015 Ford Fusion SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

During the winter my heater would make a whistling sound
when started, but once warm, the whistling goes away. I
figured it was cold and it was warming up. Walked outside
today and now my heater doesn't work. I don't want to
spend money to find out from a ford tech because they
won't give me a loaner car because they are booked. I
would rather try to fix it myself.

yup, and generally there are two types of nose like Tom said could be a bearing, also check your belts sometimes a belts will make nose when it is cold then stop when it warms up, I think it is more likely what Tom says but does not hurt to check,
