How to install a specific carburetor?

Asked by Aaron Dec 28, 2019 at 02:59 PM about the 1997 GMC Jimmy 4 Dr SLT 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Converting my truck from efi down to an old school carb and distributor  setup. It's  a 262 vortec 90 degrees and I can't afford aftermarket  parts. $400 for intake manifold alone is more than my meager disability income can swing.

The problem is the new carb didn't have  instructions or markings of any kind.

Model  IWQT1J according to the eBay ad, but been unable to find any datasheets or anything.

I just need to know what all these ports are for. There's  so many on this thing!

Question is, how do I connect this to an engine it was not meant for?

I don't  want to hear "can't" because can't never accomplished anything!!

I already tried junkyards. Their all gone. Very sought after parts. Even eBay prices are crazy! Thats why I'm forced to make my own adaptor plate with the cheapest carb I could find in the right cfm range.

Apparently the people here are to stupid to handle something as simple as a direct answer. Your no better than the trash you work on, and deserve the same fate.
