The mileage on my dashboard don't show
Is the screen completely black or can you see a light/pixels?

This is probably a "pixel" problem that the early BMW's are famous for . They use to replace a pixel line in your cluster for about $500 at your local dealerships but now they simply replace the cluster with a rebuilt one and send your old one to be rebuilt for someone else. new cost is near $700 at dealer. You may get a slight brake if you bought the car at the dealership.
