01 Ford Escape acceleration issue

Asked by Matty_Boy88 Nov 18, 2016 at 11:53 AM about the 2001 Ford Escape XLS AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I accelerate it feels like there's a ton of bricks
in the truck. It doesn't pull to one side when I brake.
It also sounds like either the trans is laboring or
maybe the calipers are stuck

Is it stuck in a higher gear? You might want to check the catalytic converter to see if it is plugged up.
