Passenger Seat too high...any way to lower it?

Asked by OdysseyLover Sep 12, 2014 at 08:27 PM about the 2015 Honda Odyssey Touring FWD

Question type: General

My wife and I were ready to buy a 2015 Honda Odyssey Touring Model today.  We are
replacing our 2005 Honda Odyssey.  All that was left was to pick out the color and do a
test drive.  My wife, who is 5'9" sat in the passenger seat a said "I can't get the seat to
do down, it is too high".  We discovered that the seat has a 4-way power control that
operates forward/back and tilt, but no up and down.  The seat at a fixed height which is
higher than the driver side and way higher than the 2005 model.  At 6'4" there was no
way for me to comfortably sit in the passenger seat without tilting the seat way back.
We are so disappointed.  If anyone has any magic for us, please let us know at

now you can get the passenger seat or frame from a 2010 thats has 6 way control just switch the underneath from from seat to seat better yet your trade in had both power options tell them to change the seat frames there are companies that offer these kits on e-bay with reasonable cost and you can do it yourself don't settle for there mistakes take it back tell them you want the touring edition now they have the 6 or 8 position seats things they do to hide spare tires and stow and go ...do not accept this flaw in there design

Did you find an answer to this problem? We have a similar problem and wanted to know if we can lower the passenger seat on the 2016 Honda Odyssey.

I’m having the same problem with the 2019, Honda still didn’t get the memo that the seat needs up and down adjustment. Anyone find a solution?

Surely theres a solution to this problem , cause I need it also . Im handicapped and am having alot of trouble getting in passenger seat of our newly aquired 2015 ODYSSEY. Wonder if a drivers seat (which is lower) would bolt in the same spot ??
