Try to get new cooling fan to fit

Asked by Talisa Jul 11, 2020 at 03:17 PM about the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze 1LT Sedan FWD

Apparently the new fan is the correct one for
my Cruze. But when trying to install, noticed
that it is about half an inch longer than the
original fan. Been to multiple stores at this
point. Advice please

Does it use the same mounting points? Properly installed in any slots or grooves? As long as it works like FOR says and nothing is hitting it.

Doesn't clear the shroud and the mounting tabs dont align. The housing is about an inch longer than the original. Ended up soldering in the new resistor to the old fan.

That is weird. I know your year cruise came with a 1.4L, 1.8L and 2.0L diesel engine maybe the part number is wrong on the system and there is a different fan based on engine size?

The fan I got was based off my engine the 1.4L. So dunno. But the we get the new resistor on and I have a working fan now
