Does the shifter move really easy or normal?

It moved normally. A mechanic has told me it is the gearbox and it needs to be replaced. Does $2650 sound expensive for a second hand gearbox that has 90,000 km fully installed?

That seems pretty high for used parts. Did anyone actually check it? The shifter cable may have broke or popped off.

NRMA came out when I initially broke down and said it was an internal problem, and that there were no cables loose. I took it to a local mechanic, who checked it and advised that was the problem. Unfortunately as I am unable to drive it out of their workshop, I could not get a second quote. I hate to say it, but It MAY just be another case of a female being taken advantage of unfortunately... Thanks for your assistance anyway!
