2015 F-150 using oil

Asked by Meghan N Kodey Nov 26, 2018 at 11:16 AM about the 2015 Ford F-150 XL SuperCab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Our 2015 F-150 2.7L ecoboost has started using
oil. About halfway through to next oil change we
randomly checked oil level and there was none on
the dipstick at all!  It’s been slowly using it but now
gotten worse it seems. No evidence of leaking we
can see and no smoking or light has came on.
Anyone else have this?  Solutions? Price?
Timeframe?

I would guess that the piston rings are not doing their job. If you don't have a warranty the rebuild will be quite costly.

You need to take it to Ford and hopefully the powertrain warranty is still in effect.
