2015 EcoBoost F150 Cranks but won't start

Asked by JustinF150 Nov 06, 2019 at 11:33 AM about the 2015 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I remote started the truck this morning. It ran for about 3 min then shut off.  I got
in the truck and tried to start it up and it fired up for about 10 seconds then shut
off.  Now it will crank but won't start at all.  I keep trying until it says crank time
exceeded.  I've checked fuses on fuel pump and fuel pump relay both are good.
Seems to act like its not getting fuel.  Help?

the only way to know if it's getting the proper fuel pressure in to put a gauge on it and see what the pressure is, have you changed your fuel filter...

This model does not have a fuel filter that I'm aware of... Thank you though for the input. I'm going to see if the truck will give me a code when I get home. From what I've been seeing online it is either the fuel pump or the fuel pump driver module or FPDM.

LOL...thank you Bob. Totally made my morning. You earned BestAnswer. Don't ever let anyone tell you you're not a mechanic. Back up and working! I bought a fuel pump ($160) and a fuel pump driver module ($40) on my way home. I replaced the fuel pump driver module first as it was pretty easy to get too. Didn't even have to drop my spare tire. 2 bolts and unplugging a pain in the butt wire harness and it was done. I had to attempt to start it a few times but after 3 or 4 tries it fired up and I am back in business! Fuel pump wasn't needed.

I have actually had people with similar problem be out of fuel. Glad you got it fixed and posted the results. It would be great if more people posted the cure.
