Wiring in Engine Room
Does anyone know what the cabling in the image is for? I had some work done
on my 2015 Nissan Rogue. When it was returned, this was missing. The dealer
service center says that it was never there. It doesn't seem to be affecting
anything.

The dealer wasn't able to tell you? Maybe your Rogue didn't come with a certain option as the engine bay in the picture or it was from a different model year or trim level.
TDolby: I don't think you understood. I had this on my car. When the work was done, it was missing. The dealer said it was never there. They removed it, then probably lost it. But not having it doesn't seem to affect anything. No idea what it is for.
It may be something unnecessary. Don't worry about it if everything works properly.
Hi Bob, I assumed the same, however that is hardly the point. Let's just say that the whole experience was really bad. The fact that I am missing a part of my vehicle (important or not) after paying over $600 in repairs is unacceptable. Then to have them deny it.... I just want to know what this is supposed to be for. Then decide it I want it back, or to just let it go.
It's the engine block heater that you plug in in in very cold weather in the winter for easy start. Of course, some idiot apprentice at the dealer removed it, and yes it is not necessary for day to day running of the vehicle, you still paid for that option when you bought the vehicle and you should have it there for when needed in winters. They owe you a replacement and free reinstall.
