“ Transmission Not In Park “ message

Asked by Diceee Jun 22, 2019 at 06:53 AM about the 2015 Ford Focus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I own an automatic 2015 Ford Focus .
Ofcourse I’ve dealt with stalling issues , took
it to dealer to get it fixed due to a recall. After
a week, car shuts off and displays “
Transmission Not in Park “ . Head-Lights
come on , display lights up . Will crank after
sitting a while or with jump but turns off after
like 10-15mins displaying the same thing .
Any ideas ?

I'm experiencing same issue and nothing seems to be a cure. Buying/ Trusting Ford was the worst and rotten mistake I've ever made in my entire life! I lost my job because I could not relay on my stupid 2013 Ford Focus to get me to work while 1990's (other brands) cars are still managing. I'm actually considering starting a protest against Ford. They take your money to sell you a toy that wont get you no where. Thank you foRd

Do not listen to dealer I had the lever replaced under warranty but car is doing it again. Dealer insists it cant be fixed but service have a TSB on replacing a micro switch only. Parts department sold me the kit only after I refused to leave without a valid answer. Part # is GB5Z-3F988-B IX good luck it’s DYI if your handy!
