cabin air filter lid

Question type: General

The side tabs of the cabin air filter lid do not click or snap into place after I
replaced the cabin air filter and the filter was positioned correctly with the
arrows pointing downwards. I am able to remove the filter cover lid by pulling on
it without depressing the side tabs. Is this normal?

I figured this out on my own since I never received an answer. I had to push the back sides of the tabs in manually myself & that locked the lid into place.
