Question type: Maintenance & Repair
i went through high water behind other RAM truck that made it through. My
RAM truck stalled while going through water. Now problem is when i try to start
truck, all I hear is click and lights blink over gear shift button. HELP please!?
What should I do? I'm not a mechanic! Thank God for the nice man who pulled
me out (yes we found how release the gear lock).

You may have sucked water into the intake. Remove and inspect the air filter to see if it is wet. If it is very wet I would remove one spark plug per cylinder (it has 2 per cylinder) and see if the engine will turn over. If the engine turns over it will eject remaining water out of the cylinders and reinstalling the spark plugs may cause it to start. Water may have got into the engine and hydro locked it as water is NOT compressible. There is the possibility of internal engine damage with water in the cylinders. This may be covered by your insurance policy so check with your insurance agent to be sure.

So I pulled all of my plugs and the starter just clicks. I tried to turn the engine by the harmonic balancer, but it wouldn't budge so is it locked up. I'm currently letting some penetrating oil do its thing in the cylinders hopefully it will turn over tomorrow. Is there anything else I can do. I dont want to put ANOTHER engine in it. I literally went through a puddle and it sucks it right in. Could this be a defect by dodge?
