70 chevy 350

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a chevy 350 freshly rebuilt. Wad having
problems with the carb. Purchase a new 1406
edlebrock carb ,have to turn the idle screw all the
way in to get it to try and fire.it was running but
backfiring. The one who built the engine told me to
back off rocker arms and it help but the old carb
was leaking gas every where. Any will be
appreciated.
