I968 Pontiac lemans convertible restore?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

have a 1968 lemans convertible with a 3 speed Hertz on the floor. Was my first
car out of college and we put more than 200000 miles on it before it went into
the barn. Is it worth restoring? Body in rough shape but lots of great memories.

Restore is the right path. Saving another vintage car is a lot of work, though. If you are not up to the task, sell it to someone who will and avoid scrapping it. I wish the 68 I owned back then had the 3 speed. When I traded it in late 72 for my 3rd Lemans, a brand new 73 sport coupe. I bought it the same way as yours - buckets with a 350 and a hurst shifter 3 speed on the floor.
