Clicking sound and light door ajar on

Hello my ford exp 2001 is making a clicking sound in the
rear right side, I sord of open it to see where it was
coming from and I noticed an AC unit when I turn off the
back AC it stops, what can it be???
Also the light is on on my dash board door ajar but all
doors are closed? Please advise

could be an actuator that opens and closes a vent door has gone bad

I heard the same clicking sound in the rear right of a '05 Expedition which has a rear window vent - planned obsolescence I wonder - also saw door ajar and learned on Youtube that the driver door wire may have frayed. Lots of info on Youtube.

Mine clicks to, I haven't figured out any triggers yet though. My door ajar light is on right now, I'm going to try WD40. But another word thing it does is when I push the break my speakers crackle! Not always but often enough. What the heck is going on with Betty?!
