Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 02 subaru outback sport and the engine
with randomly cut out some times for a few days it
will be like it some times by the time I drive it home
from work it's completely fine. When it's acting up
and I'm driving it it will feel like it has no power and
some time when I push the gas pedal in it's like I'm
doing nothing at all it doesn't accelerate at all.

I had trouble with the timing belt before it was like what I described in the post but way more violent and constant it never drove ok until I got it fixed and when it was fixed the cel came on and the mechanic said it was just from him fixing the belt
