Me to it will start if i boost it but when I turn anything on it dies and then there is 0 power

Hi mine turned out to be a bad battery cable on the positive terminal side, no obvious signs of failure or corrosion, had already replaced the ignition switch to no avail and checked all fuses.

Went out of town for 2 months, came back to a dead battery. Tried to "boost-start it with my battery charger and lost (almost) everything electrical. I have no lights on the dash but the radio, emergency flashers and the horn works, and the key fob (as well as the dash button) will release the trunk lock. I did disconnect the battery which took a charge (only a year old), still the same issue.
