I just bought a used 2016 ford explorer limited and the dealer didn't have the keyless code for the door. Any idea where I can find this without having to pay a dealer to get it?

Make the dealer get this code for you! Call Ford customer service Report the dealer and please POST this dealers NAME..
A 2016?!! All it can be is new-used and still under warranty. Take the car back to the dealership, tell them to get the code without a charge, or give you your money back. You'll have a code in about 5 minutes.

yes OJ a 2016, bought used from a non-ford dealer, was a fleet vehicle and they did not have the card with it :(
Look inside the fuse panel inside the vehicle. On my truck there is a white sticker in there. If there is a letter at the end of the number, disregard it. If you still not locate it, call customer service at Ford and ask for the sticker location.

Mine ended up being near the brake pad also, but the dealer can contact Ford and give them the VIN and get the key less code. If there is a charge, let them handle it. Agree with Auto Centric.

Lift up the back hatch. Is there a panel on the left side? If so, open and look for the sticker there. My Explorer is older, but this is where it was. Good luck!
