Just replaced a leaky gas tank, put in new gas lines and fuel pump. As I was driving home from the shop, the truck was acting like it was starved for gas-engine vibrating, no power?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Took forever to get up to highway speed, but once at speed and foot off gas, smoothed right out.  Could new fuel pump be bad?  Does new gas line need to be bled like brake line?

Sounds like low fuel pressure. Make sure if you put in new lines you didn't kink one. Test your fuel pressure, and no lines don't need to be bled. Check the fuel pressure regulator, if stuck open low pressure.

Check and clean idle air control valve. Also test throttle position sensor. These two components can cause problems similar to yours
