Question type: Maintenance & Repair

only after the car is warm will the car feel like it lost power completely and come right back.  This only happens as I push on the gas.  It never has shut off on me. Always starts. its just like someone taps the breaks on me as I'm pushing on the gas. Any ideas what to fix?

When problem happens do you lose all electricals, the instrument cluster goes dead for a second or so? How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? Around here some of the national brand auto stores will check codes for free, if there are any? Your throttle valve regulates air, your throttle position sensor lets the computer know what your doing with throttle. At idle, my info says for the tps around .47 volts. You can use a digital multimeter on tps sensor signal circuit, key on, don't need to start it, move throttle up and down by hand, see if the voltage moves up and down smoothly. If there are any hitches or dead spots, you have a problem. Certainly, there could be other issues. I don't know what testing you have done?

had tune up 3wks ago, No codes pop up. and from what I know none of the electric goes out. I will try to get a digital multimeter and a video to see how to hook it on the tps sensor signal circuit. hopefully there is a problem with tps sensor and its a simple change and done truck fixed. just put in a fuel pump right now and problem still exist
