Chassis Traction Control Issues for 2015 Nissan Rogue AWD

Asked by DaveAnnie2017 Oct 26, 2020 at 03:50 PM about the 2015 Nissan Rogue Select S AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have a 2015 Nissan Rogue AWD.  We were on our way to Las Vegas
and 3/4 of the way there, it bucked a little then a whining sound started.  The
RPMs were jumping but once we got to a steady speed of 60mph or more, it
stopped.  And on our way home (Sacramento) the whining sound was still
there until we reached 60mph and it stopped.  My husband went to work and
this time the Chasis Control Traction light came on after it bucked hard.
Again, when my my husband got it going, it stopped but whining is still there
until it reaches a certain speed and stops.  My husband then turned off the
traction and it does it less than when the traction was on.  Has anyone had
this issue?  Does anyone know what it is?

Hey, exact same issue. Dealership is trying to charge me to replace the transmission. What did y’all figure out?

Can you text me or call me at 4096178978? We had an identical situation. Dealership has my bill at $6,000, but seems ridiculous. Don’t know how the transmission could mechanically fail and the chassis control module at the exact same time
