Brake Lights on Radar Cruise Control

Asked by ramaxsmith Sep 05, 2016 at 06:05 PM about the 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring

Question type: General

I have a Radar Cruise Control System on my CX-5.  When it is engaged, it
works great.  I love it.  However, when an impatient driver cuts in front of me
and the radar control brakes, I'm concerned about the cars traveling behind
me.  Does the radar control activate my braking lights when it brakes, telling
the drivers behind me that I'm slowing down rapidly?

Anytime the brakes are applied the brake lights will come on. Adaptive cruise is great, but don't get too wrapped up in it cause it can cause an accident if there is an issue with it and you are not paying attention.
