What fuel does 2016 FIAT 500x take

Question type: General

Dumb question but what kind of fuel does the 500x
take? I've read it needs premium but is that really
necessary?

Per the owners manual, if you have the 2.4 liter engine, 87 octane fuel recommend. If you have the smaller turbocharged engine, 91 octane recommended, 87 octane acceptable.
