My 2001 ford focus is over heating and when i open the hood to check the water. Then i see it boiling.

The water in my car where you the antifreeze is boiling. Can you please tell me whats
wrong with it. Its a ford focus 2001.

it is supposed to boil when it's hot, what is the problem exactly? why are you concerned with the water in the coolant system?

my apologies i didnt see the over heating part. It could be over heating for a number of reasons, faulty thermostat is usually the first thing to replace, then try to flush the system to see if the system is clogged at all,

The fan may not be working properly. Some of the sensors burn out & the fans do not turn on to keep the radiator cool.
