My son got marbles stuck in dash vent

Asked by Emilybaldwin1983 May 01, 2018 at 08:55 PM about the 2016 Ford Escape S FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My son has autism and loves playing with
marbles..  He got some stuck in the vent on my
dashboard and now the air only blows out of the
dash vent and the feet vents.  How would I get to
where the dash vents lead to try to retrieve the
marbles?

Hi Emily! Is your vent issue in the vent toward the instrument panels or nearest the passenger door?

Oh! So the marbles are pretty deep into the system? I'd suggest searching YouTube for "2016 ford escape radio removal" and following those steps for upper dashboard removal to see if you can reach them that way. Otherwise, the more complicated step of removing the bottom part of your dash to get into the deeper portion of the vents may have to be your next move.

I need to know how to remove the drivers side air vest . There is something in there.
