serpentine belt broke mustang v6 01

Asked by Sammy Aug 05, 2016 at 04:51 PM about the 2001 Ford Mustang Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

As I was driving on the freeway the serpentine belt
broke and stuck in the idel pully. The battery light
came on and power steering stopped. I drove to
gas station since I was in the middle of no where.
The needle only passed the center point but no
where near red as I had already stopped. However,
water overflow from the tank was actually warm
and tank full of water but now it is empty!!! What
happened and radiator seems empty too but I do
not see any leaks. The car still starts and I am
replacing the pulley and belt.
