I'm confuse with the size of my Mag/Tires

I want to purchase new tires to fit with my mag (17inch)
But there something that really confuse me .

My garage have purchase to me (4 MAG 17Inch) with (4 Tires 205/55/r16) for
the winter
But why they intall 4 tires R16 on a mag which are 17inch ?

i just realize this today when i was planning to purchase some tires for this
summer.
Did i should get 4 R17 or R16 with my 17inch mag ?
On the side of my doors they write R16 and i'm more confuse . ahahah

You cannot install 16" tires on 17" wheels. Look at the existing tires and get the same thing.

Ok so that mean the person who installed the tires on my 17 Wheels did a huge mistake ? by choosing 4 16" to intall to my 17" Wheels

You might be confused as you can't mount 16" tires on a 17" wheel. Measure the wheels, the diameter is to the tire mounting diameter, not the OD of the flange on the wheel. I suspect you bought 16" rims.

Have a tire shop verify your tire/wheel size so that you know what they are.
