What the hell is going on.? My 2005 Mini Cooper is starting itself with NO KEYs in the ignition !, I came out of work and the car was running and the sun roof was opened. It was raining on top of it!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Am I going crazy? I thought it was me, that somehow I didn't turn the keys all
the way off. How can the car run 8 hrs by itself. I get home and it keeps going
off and on in the garage with no keys in the ignition. Can this be a relative of
Christine.? I'm totally spooked.

I know this doesn't help but that car is in the top 5 cars that won't make it to 100, 000 miles. How so? Go to YouTube and watch Scott Kilmer

Just figured it out, when the battery on the key fob is dying it acts like you are holding down the button. Simply change the battery.
