2016 Fiat Lounge 500X broken liftgate handle

Recently the rubber part of the liftgate handle came off and before we were
able to fix that, the whole mechanism for opening the hatch is now a mess and
we can't open it at all.  Is there any other way to open it?

Same just happened to me TODAY! Dealer said it’s unfortunately a common issue!! Please, build this stuff to last!

use folded piece of aluminum foil to touch metal contact points on switch to complete circuit and it will unlock hatch

Fiat said it was out of warranty. Our parts look like Oranginadiva’s. Guru2BXWC, not following you... what switch? There’s no handle to use because it’s in pieces
