Need help with a notification sound on my 2015 Kia Forte5

Just purchased my Kia, and accidentally set off the panic alarm this week.  
Since then, every time I unlock the car and then start the engine, I get a
siren (alarm) sound for about 10 seconds.  No lights come on, and it
doesn't happen when I've not set the alarm upon exiting the car.  If i sit
inside and re-start the engine, or get out without setting the alarm, no
notification.  The manual has been no help, and the service department
hasn't heard of this issue.  The car does have the Dfense alarm system.   
Any thoughts on how to resolve?  Thanks!
