Hello i would like help my fuel is not showing while i am driving i shorted the fuel sender unit still nothing what ells can be the problem.
I replaced the fuel sender unit also but still nothing checked the fuses and replaced everything but still nothing

With a 45 year old car, it is likely either the gauge it self or it could be the wiring. I have an old Jeep and it was the ground wire causing the fuel gauge not to work. You stated that you have tried grounding the unit so it may be the wiring harness or a bad gas gauge.
