How to know if upper radiator hose is causing car to over heat

2001neon  changed  lower  radiator  hose , thermostat  and  hose  that  
connects  to  thermostat  housing . Still  overheating

If upper radiator hose is not deteriorated or leaking it will not cause overheating. Check in between the front of the radiator and the air conditioning condenser for debris (leaves, bugs, dirt, etc.). If it is clean it could be a bad head gasket which was very common on the Neon.
