courtesy lights when door opens

I just purchased a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe  ..SE trim with the premium and ultimate package. My 2014 Azera has courtesy lights that go on when I open the doors both front and rear. I wonder is my 2016 supposed to have operating lights iin the doors. They look only a a reflector plastic red to me. I find nothing in the manual to say they should light up. Maybe that's all they are and have no lights as to when the door opens
