No acceleration

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car use to rev to 7000 easily, and go 120kmph easily.
Now it is capping at 4000 and has a hard time building up
speed please help

Scan for fault codes, especially if you have a check engine light on. Also, check/replace fuel filter. It might be hungry for fuel, working that hard. Timing belt might have jumped a cog or two. Independent shops can help you.

Could need a tuneup. The catalytic converter may be partially plugged up.
