Can I tow a 2016 Honda Civic on a tow dolly?

Asked by GuruD1C42 Sep 02, 2017 at 03:01 AM about the 2016 Honda Civic LX

Question type: General

Will the electrically assisted steering allow me to tow my 2016 Honda Civic on
my tow dolly. If I just unlock the steering wheel by turn the ignition to the first
detent will that be sufficient? Or does the engine have to be running?

Once you secure the front end of your car up on the dolly and the front-wheel-drive transmission has no power, then the rear wheels of the car are the only wheels making contact with the road. You could most likely put the car in park and no e-brake if placing the car on the dolly. What does the dolly manufacturer recommend?
