How can the headlight sensor be adjusted so they turn on sooner?

I would call the dealer on this. Don't they turn on at dusk? And, you can always switch them on during daylight hours if you need to. What's the problem here?

The lights don't turn on until it's almost completely dark. They don't come on earlier enough and I end up turning them on. I did ask the dealer and they said there wasn't an adjustment. Problem is you pay for something and then it doesn't work properly.
