When driving in 4-wheel drive in sand
I'm going 10 to 15 miles an hour and
all of a sudden it slows down and
then I have to push the gas more to
get the tires to turn again

Sand is bogging down your truck, too loose. Try different tires.
My 2006 chevy silverado 1500 4x4 will not go into 4 wheel drive. I push the button but all it does is blink.
