I have a 2004 Honda Civic-have oil leak,engine hot,heater works only over 30mi. Mechanic put some leak stop in, I am hoping it will work, but still wondering about oil leak. What to do?

Mechanic put stop leak in and said it will be ok. I am concerned, as to where
the oil leak is coming from, and why the engine is hot, also heater not
working. I want problem solved, not have to come back later with bigger
problem.

Leak stop in cooler tank I guess? This is why your heater is not working anymore, it's clogged with the stuff your mechanic put... If the oil leak is not significant (you could look under the hood and check where is a wet oily mark), leave it be, check why the engine is getting hot, thermostat, fan, headgasket, etc.

To fix the oil leak you must find what is leaking. Maybe it is a gasket or maybe it is an oil seal. There are no short cuts for this one.
