Brake.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have 2016 malibu, with less than 8,000 miles on it,
was going threw a parking lot came to a stop sign,
put brakes on and " grinding sound" like brakes
went out. Put car in park and turned off. Starred
car back up and across screen it said reset break.  
I put car in drive and tested breaks and the work
just fine. This is the first time this has happened.
Should I worry?

i would run it by the dealership, its still under manufactures warranty getting into a accident because of break failure is not worth the aggravation. good luck.

I think you may have activated the ABS which might make the sound you heard.
