altenator or starter?

if i just replaced the battery and out of no where the car wont crank and all the
lights come on in the car. all i did was turn the key to crank i hear a click and
that was it? What could be the issue?

A click from the starter is usually because of a low battery, or bad connections, even a bad starter. I would have the battery checked, charged back up if it is low, and have the alternator checked. It may not be charging the battery.
Well it's a brand new battery. And I haven't drove it in a while. But when I do go out to crank it. I hook the battery back up and it cranks just fine I think it is the alternator. That's giving me the problem
