HELP!!!! i have a 97 civic ex that has a problem.

I start it rev it a few times then once it kinda gets warmed up it starts idling weird then i try
to rev it some more but it loses like all power in the throttle then it slowly dies.  whats
wrong with it.?

is the check engine light on? if so have you had it scanned?

last time you did a tune up? check your fluid levels? oil, coolant? also why are you revving the engine?
