i got a 98 honda civic dx on a cold start i turn on my car and it idles at 1600x - 2100x ????? i recently
installed a tach so i don' know if its the way i installed it but im having this problem please help!!.

Vacuum leak. And that could be from many causes, first just look for hoses, any hose not attached or badly cracked, deteriorated. If you see none, we can go from there to figure out what is going on.
