99 civic dies while driving

Asked by 6thgenirish Sep 14, 2016 at 11:47 PM about the 1999 Honda Civic Coupe EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've got a 99 civic.
While driving it will shut off. Still have all the dash
lights on. But no power. No response while hitting
the gas.
Now if I open and slam the passenger side door
whiles still rolling the car wI'll fire back up and drive
again. So What could be the culprit. I'm guessing it
is somewhere on the passenger side close to the
cpu or in that general area. As opening and
slamming the door on the passenger side gets it
going again.
